Product Description

A custom FSW (Friction Stir Welding) water-cooled Liquid cold plate is a device used to dissipate heat from electronic components or systems. It utilizes the principles of FSW to join two metal plates together, creating a sealed chamber through which water or another cooling liquid can flow.

The FSW process involves a rotating tool that generates frictional heat as it moves along the joint between the two metal plates. This heat softens the metal, allowing the tool to stir and mix the material together. As the joint cools, Skived fin heat sink it solidifies and forms a strong, leak-proof bond.

The water or cooling liquid is then circulated through channels or passages within the cold plate, Pressure Die Casting absorbing heat from the electronic components or systems. The liquid absorbs the heat and carries it away, maintaining the temperature of the components within acceptable limits.
